I’m Sukkrivaa Vijayan, a mathematics teacher and textbook author. My work is centred on clear exposition, rigorous thinking, and helping students encounter mathematics as a coherent discipline.

I teach, write, and build mathematical resources.
I teach mathematics in the independent sector and have worked in schools across London and Surrey. I also tutor students and work in educational consultancy. I’m particularly interested in education and in practical strategies for supporting working memory through textbooks and other educational resources.

I graduated with First-Class Honours in Mathematics, with Applied Mathematics and Mathematical Physics, from Imperial College London. I also hold a PGCE in Physics with Mathematics from King’s College London, and studied at Raffles Institution in Singapore.
Teaching & authorship
I teach mathematics, and my teaching and training experience includes four comprehensive schools and two independent schools in the UK. I also tutor, consult on education, and run OpenKira.
Beyond education
Before and alongside education, I have worked at Procter & Gamble and in software engineering. I’m also a keen cricketer, and was a junior sports member of the Singapore Cricket Club.
